Differin is a prescription-level strength retinoid used to treat adult acne. But it has one key side effect: It can make your acne worse before it gets better, thanks to a process called “retinization.”
Our challenge: How to talk adult women through the process of retinization, without completely turning them off the product. We used a fun, pithy tone and a website that mimicked a text chain with a friend to help shed some light on the process in a fun, lighthearted, and informational way.
